Appearance:
Valiant's coat is technically white but it's a darker shade and closer to gray really. His mane is a dark red.
Valiant is larger than most ponies and he have inherited his size from a great grand father who was a horse from a country in the far north  (think very big viking themed horses). He is also much heavier built than other pegasi, because everyone on his father's side were earth ponies (except his great grand father of course). His mother's family were all pegasi though. Luckily his big size affected his wings as well or he wouldn't have been able to fly at all. The size of his wings rival even Princess Celestia's.
In private Valiant usually keeps his wings folded, except for when he's in a playfull mood. In public Valiant wears his wings open as a sign of pride, especially when he's wearing his armour.

Personality:
Valiant is the kind of guy you want as your leader. He cares for his men's well being and will listen to them and take their input into consideration. He became a knight to defend ponies and defend ponies he will.
He's inclined to deny an order if he thinks it will endanger civilians. He refuses to sacrifice a few civilians to save many. He will rather put his own life on the line to save all. He won't force any of his men to follow him, though they usually will.
All lives are precious to him and he will even save pets if he's able. He will not kill other than in defence of his own or someone else's life.
Valiant is a loving pony. He loves his children, he loves animals and he loves ponies in general, but most of all he loves Fluttershy. He shows her that every day.
Valiant never yells at his children, he never has to as they respect his word, and he's happy to play with them when he isn't tired. Valiant tries hard to maintain a safe environment for his family.
Valiant hates injustice and when people are being egoistical or egocentrical.

Combat tactics:
Despite being a pegasus Valiant usually fight on the ground as a heavy charger. He wears heavy armour and tries to charge into his enemies with his whole body. He manages very well in melee combat, but charging is his main tactic. He often use his wings to help him gain speed, but he folds them before he hits the enemy to protect them from damage.
Valiant's best tactic when dealing with few enemies though is to scare them. He will spread out his wings to look even bigger than he already is. When someone is being threatened he's quick to anger and when he's really fucking angry his battle cry will send chills down the spines of his enemies and he can often stare his target into submission (it's not the same "I'll tell your mother on you" stare that Fluttershy use on animals, rather it's an "I'll rip out your spine and trample you to dust" stare of fury which is very effective in combination with his "shock & awe" tactics). To cement the fear into his enemies he often yells something along the lines of "Do you know who you're dealing with!?! I'm a GODDAMN WARRIOR HORSE!!!" at them.
Valiant never flies when he can walk. That's because Valiant is heavier than most pegasi. He's built more like a big earth pony with wings, because of his ancestry. He's still able to fly, he can carry heavy loads even (not as much as on the ground though), but he's not a fast flier. He does fly into combat sometimes when the situation calls for it, but he gallops much faster than he flies.




Name: Sand Storm

Appearance:
Sand Storm has inherited his father's mane and his mother's coat, though his coat is darker than his mother's probably after his father because his coat is more gray than white. The colour of his coat is what gave rise to his name.
It is clear that Sand Storm has inherited his father's big size. Despite being a twin he's slightly bigger than most foals his age.

Personality:
Sand Storm is a curious and inquisitive fellow. He's constantly experimenting, exploring and asking questions. He's never satisfied unless he finds an answer to what he's wondering about.
He's very brave, but it's not because he's fearless. Usually his bravery comes from his incredible thirst for knowledge.

Relations:
His father takes great pride in Sand Storm's curiousity and thirst for knowledge and he happily answers any questions honestly and to the best of his ability, even to the point where Sand Storm's mother choked on some tea when she overheard Sand Storm ask his father where foals come from.
When his father doesn't know the answer to a question he never lies about it or makes up an answer. Instead he encourages Sand Storm to go and find the answer himself or even helps him in his search.
Sand Storm's mother isn't so good with his questions and would rather avoid certain topics, though she doesn't discourage his curiousity, therefore he usually goes to his father with his questions.
His twin sister is often willing to follow him on his explorations and experiments and as a result he sometimes get her into trouble, but he is always determined to get his sister safely out of whatever trouble he has caused.
Storm is a name he inherited from his father. It's not a family name, it has just been a tradition to pass the name down on the male side of the family.

Future:
Sand Storm's thirst for knowledge doesn't go much further than his own curiousity. He does therefore sometimes have trouble sitting still to read a book unless he is searching for something specific. Knowledge he isn't wondering about just isn't interesting to him.
Though if something does captivate his interest he can put a lot of energy on searching for information about it or doing his own experiments. He therefore make up for in experience what he lacks in booksmarts.
Possible future proffessions include scientist, journalist, police investigator and knight-errant.




Name: Dairy Flower

Appearance:
Dairy Flower has inherited her father's coat and her mother's mane but in by far brighter shades. Her coat is almost perfectly white.
Dairy Flower is very small, much smaller than most fillies her age, and it might be because her twin brother is so big.

Personality:
Dairy Flower is very careful and timid, much like her mother. She's not fully as shy around other ponies as her mother though and it's probably because of the time she spends with her brother.
Dairy Flower takes after her mother a lot. Whenever she's not with her brother she usually spend time with her mother. Dairy Flower loves flowers and animals just as much as her mother does.

Relations:
Despite her timid nature she often follows her brother around on adventures and help him with experiments. She doesn't leave her timidness at home though and she often gets nervous and wants to turn back, but she's more afraid to be left behind and usually gives in and continues to follow her brother, because he's certainly not turning back when something have caught his curiousity.
Because of her timidness and the fact that she's much smaller than her brother ponies often assume that she's much younger than him. She does look up to him as a big brother.
Dairy Flower finds comfort with her parents and will often stay near them. Even at home she will often stay in the vicinity of her parents.

Future:
Aside from Dairy Flower's timidness her care for others is her most appearant personality trait and for that she's loved by many. She often keeps to herself though and enjoys the solitude, but she doesn't shun from others.
She's patient and is almost never seen angry.
Possible future proffessions include animal caretaker, gardener and nurse. She might take up gardening as a hobby if it doesn't become her proffession.
